Rocky Privacy Policy
Effective August 2, 2026
Rocky does not create its own user accounts or track players across apps or websites. When Share anonymous analytics is enabled (the default), Rocky sends anonymous app-usage and gameplay events to TelemetryDeck so the developer can measure active installations, find where players leave the game, and improve level balance. This setting can be turned off at any time. Game Center is optional and is not required for gameplay.
Information stored on the device
Rocky stores game progress, best scores, stars, and audio, graphics, haptics, and accessibility preferences locally. This information is used only to provide the game and restore the player's choices.
Rocky also keeps a bounded on-device aggregate summary of app opens, run selections, starts, outcomes, and totals or fixed buckets for statistics such as score, duration, melts, and combos. It stores no raw analytics event history in that local summary. Rocky also retains up to ten completed-run replay journals, including the level rules, random seed, inputs, and final checkpoint, for deterministic replay verification. Rocky does not transmit the local aggregate or replay journals. The operating system may include local app data in backups according to the player's backup settings.
Rocky uses system preferences to save settings and the system's monotonic clock to measure elapsed gameplay time. If a player signs into Apple Game Center, Rocky submits eligible scores and achievements to Apple. Signed-out results are never uploaded later.
Anonymous analytics
When anonymous analytics is enabled, Rocky sends session starts and run selections, starts, restarts, abandonments, and outcomes. Events can include catalog values such as mode, level, grain tier, and ruleset; outcome and stars; score; and coarse fixed buckets for duration, objective progress, melts, combo size, obstacles, clean clears, and cascade length. TelemetryDeck also adds technical context such as app and build version, platform, system version, device model, language, and region.
TelemetryDeck's SDK obtains or generates an identifier specific to the app installation and anonymizes it before transmission so distinct installations and retention can be counted without a Rocky account. Event times are rounded to the hour, and TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. Rocky never supplies a name, email address, Apple Account or Game Center identifier, advertising identifier, precise location, run UUID, random seed, player input, replay journal, or board contents. The data is used only for analytics, is not linked to a player's identity, and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Turning off Settings → Share anonymous analytics stops future analytics events. Previously received anonymous events may remain in aggregate analytics according to the TelemetryDeck account's retention plan. Because the installation identifier is anonymized and Rocky has no account system, the developer cannot identify or delete one player's historical analytics events.
Sharing and third parties
Rocky does not sell player information. Anonymous analytics are processed by TelemetryDeck GmbH in Germany. Optional Game Center player profiles, scores, and achievements are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. TelemetryDeck data and Game Center data are not joined.
Retention and deletion
Local progress remains until the player chooses Reset progress
in Settings or deletes Rocky. Reset progress deletes level completion, stars,
scores, and the local aggregate gameplay summary. The rolling replay journals
remain in Rocky's app data until newer runs replace them or the player removes
the data. On iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro, deleting Rocky removes its
app-container data. On Mac, support files may remain in
~/Library/Containers/fallah.Rocky/Data/Library/Application
Support/Rocky until the player removes that folder. Game Center records
are managed through the player's Apple Account.
Children
Rocky does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other player. Anonymous analytics may be disabled at any time in Settings.
Changes and contact
If Rocky's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the change ships. Questions can be sent to Rocky Support.
